Intensity & Challenge Verdict

The class was challenging and you could modify harder or easier as need be
Mat pilates class was on the steadier side and and is medium paced class for all levels
Had nice background music that was perfectly curated and timed out for the class
Clean and neat, a change at home place but could easily get ready for work after a class for a limited number
It was a good sized class and mats are laid out with plenty of space between with lots of room
Lovely welcome from desk staff and instructor

Chi Junky  Studio Review – This is a studio I’ve meant to visit for ages, and it did not disappoint. It is tucked into Riverside in Toronto’s east end. Chi Junky greets you with a space that’s curated to feel cool and cozy all at once. The owners and operators clearly sweat the details, and while you can tell there’s a loyal following of regulars, I was made to feel welcome from the second I walked in.

I dropped in for a mat Pilates class with Jackie, and it was excellent. She brought an updated take on the format, layered in fresh modifications, and gave the kind of feedback and guidance that actually helps you improve, not just get through the class.

Great for beginners easing in, and just as good for seasoned pros looking to level up.
