Intensity & Challenge Verdict

A hot mat pilates fusion class that is good for intermediates and those that have done heated classes before
As a fusion class one move lead into the next with great sequencing
Great sound track and music was motivating – I know it is good music when I Shazam a tune in class
Clean, neat and everything nicely laid out – suitable for showering and going to work after class
Good size class with lots of elbow room between mats ~ 40 spots
Got a great tour of the entire studio and even got to meet the owner!!

PAKT Fitness Review – I tried a heated Pulse class at PAKT Fitness’s new studio The Den in King West, upstairs from their weight and group training space The Wild. The room was curated and calm, heated but not scorching, and the welcome at the door was genuinely warm. I was without question the oldest person in the class that day – oops, and nobody made that feel like a thing, which says a lot about the vibe they’re building.

My instructor Jordyn kept the energy up without going overboard, and I got to meet founder Karina, whose signature K-Method is the heart of the studio. Drop-in is normally $32, currently $29, which is fair for downtown Toronto boutique Pilates. If the idea of a scorching hot room has kept you away from Pilates, this is a gentler way in.
