Dancing Geisha – Tucked away near Dufferin and Caledonia in West Toronto, Dancing Geisha offers a spicy little detour from your usual fitness routine. Sassy wandered in for her first-ever pole dancing class, and not just any class, this one featured a spinning pole. Yes, the pole spins. Not the dancer. Who knew?
The moment I walked in, the front studio was filled with experienced performers twisting, climbing, and floating like it was no big deal. My shoulders ached just watching them. Thankfully, beginners get their own cozy room in the back where the vibe is far less intimidating and a lot more fun. The class had a great mix of ages and experience levels. You’ll need a bit of upper body strength, a hint of flexibility, and a willingness to laugh at yourself. I may have looked like a flailing garden hose after 3 wines, but I had an absolute blast.
