Intensity & Challenge Verdict

This class was not for those looking for an easy go of it -i t was intense but no one was going to cry during it
You go from move-to-move without much of a break inbetween sets
Honestly, music was fab for me. On the louder side and the play list kicked ass!
Can shower to get ready for work and changeroom neat and clean – most people just changed at home I noticed.
Good size class with lots of mats but also decent amount of space
Got a nice welcome and instructions but front desk was busy so I did the tour myself! Was OK as got great pictures of the studio

Solis Movement East Review. After trying the downtown Solis, I wanted to check out the East end location, the newest of the brand’s three Toronto studios at 10 St. Lawrence St. This time I skipped reformer and signed up for the Hot Pilates Fusion class instead, done on the mat with a ball, band, and small weights.

The lunchtime class was comfortably half full (never a fan of an empty room) with a good mix of levels. I was easily the oldest person there by a couple of decades, matching set on and I was once again completely unbothered. The instructor kept the pace moving through weights, bands, and the ball, your typical mat Pilates torture instruments. It’s a real sweat, and the EDM playlist keeps the energy high without tipping into overwhelming. The studio itself is bright, well laid out, and just as polished as the downtown location, with plenty of room to hang out before class starts.
